Wedding Invitation Messages for WhatsApp
A WhatsApp invitation is usually two things at once: a short personal message that greets the guest, and the link to the invitation page that carries the details. This collection is about the message — the part that decides whether the link gets opened and whether the guest feels personally asked.
Everything below is complete and ready to send. Some examples suit a close friend, some suit an aunt you only see at weddings, and one is deliberately two lines long because it is meant for an SMS. If you would rather sort out timing, group chats and link previews first, the guide to sending an invitation by message covers that side.

What belongs in the message, and what belongs in the invitation
The message needs three things: who is inviting, the date, and the link. Everything else is optional, and the longer the message gets, the less likely it is to be read before the link is tapped. Times, addresses, dress codes, parking and the RSVP form all belong inside the invitation, where they can be corrected later without messaging everybody again.
That split is why the examples here name the occasion and the date, then hand over to the link. If you are still deciding what the invitation itself should say, this walkthrough of what to include goes through the details one by one.
Writing to one guest rather than to a list
A message that opens with a name gets opened more often, and it is the difference between an invitation and an announcement. Put the guest's name at the front, say "you" rather than "everyone", and keep the tone you would use if you were saying it out loud.
In a group chat the opposite is true: one message reaches everyone, so the greeting has to become plural and the personal detail has to go. Families and friend groups often use both — a warm individual message with the link, and a shorter group reminder closer to the day.
How formal is too formal
Formal wording reads as deliberate on WhatsApp rather than out of place, as long as it stays short. "It is our pleasure to invite you", followed by the names, the date and the link, is a complete formal message; a printed invitation structure pasted into a chat is not.
The formal examples here are the bridge between the two: the register of an invitation in the length of a text message. The fuller treatment lives in the formal invitation wording collection, including the traditional structures used when parents send the invitation.
Send the message, then send the invitation
Write your details once and share one link that already holds the map, the schedule and the RSVP form. Every guest sees the same, up-to-date version.
